Cyber Essentials (CE) is a UK Government backed scheme, designed to certify that a company’s security controls are up to scratch. Unlike heavier, schemes such as ISO 27001, CE is designed to be business friendly and covers the core technical and procedural controls that ultimately protect a company against cyber attack.
Cyber Essentials represents a baseline set of controls which should in place at your company to prevent unauthorised access to systems. To become certified you need to complete a questionnaire and have it reviewed by an independent auditor, such as ourselves. This is the basic level of certification.
The Cyber Essentials badge proves your organisation meets a Government-endorsed standard.
Cyber Essentials Plus
Cyber Essentials Plus covers the baseline controls but is augmented by an external auditor performing substantive testing. This testing will access the ability of your organisation to withstand external attack or internal breach. Our consultants will assess the level of security patching applied to your servers as well as performing a scan against your external facing servers, such as web site and email server.
For business owners wishing to gain a robust, independent view of their IT estate, this is the certification you should choose.
